Dr Jacinda Cadman

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

 

Dr Jacinda Cadman (she/her) is a clinical psychologist and co-director at CAO. She graduated from her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at Griffith University in 2010. Over the course of her studies, she developed a research and clinical interest in paediatric anxiety and OCD, and was involved in delivering individual and group-based anxiety and OCD treatment programs to young people and their families.

Following completion of her postgraduate degree, she secured a position at the reputable Maudsley Hospital in London, within the National and Specialist OCD, BDD and Related Disorders Service. Here she worked with young people with OCD, tic disorders, and BDD. Jacinda’s involvement in clinical research trials has provided her with experience using a range of treatment modalities, including intensive therapy treatments, Telehealth therapy, and e-therapy.

More recently, Jacinda has successfully treated children, youth, and adults in her private practice, while also working as a senior psychologist in paediatrics at the Gold Coast University Hospital treating children diagnosed with chronic health conditions and co-morbid health-related anxiety.

Jacinda also enjoys teaching psychology and has provided supervision in the area of OCD and related disorders since 2010.

Jacinda has a warm and relaxed style when working with clients. Although treatment can be challenging, she focusses on building positive relationships to help her clients overcome their anxiety in a safe and supportive environment.

DR CADMAN CONSULTS ON MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS. SHE IS NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS.

SHE IS AVAILABLE FOR SUPERVISION AND PRE-COSMETIC SURGERY ASSESSMENTS.

DR CADMAN OFFERS SUPERVISION AND IS A STAP ACCREDITED SUPERVISOR.
