Rianca Kroon

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

 

Rianca (she/her) is a clinical psychologist, who completed her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology at Griffith University in 2021. Rianca has published research in areas of social physique anxiety and exercise behaviours, and paediatric anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), including the impact of COVID-19 on parent mental health and child OCD.

Rianca has experience delivering exposure with response prevention (ERP) for children, teens and adults with OCD, including parent training of ERP and intensive exposure. She has worked across diverse clinical settings and across the lifespan, including in outpatient clinics, university anxiety and OCD research programs, community mental health and acute inpatient mental health settings. Rianca is also an ANZAED Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician, which means she has met the professional development, qualifications and training requirements for the provision of eating disorder treatment.

Rianca has developed a keen interest in working with children, adolescents and young adults with anxiety disorders, OCD, body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), body focussed repetitive behaviours (BFRBs), tic disorders and eating disorders. Rianca shows enthusiasm and warmth in her collaborative approach and is passionate about helping her clients overcome their fears and help them lead a rewarding life.
